LincolnHealth, Dermatology in beautiful Damariscotta, Maine is seeking a per diem Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its expanding Dermatology Services.
Work within MaineHealth, the largest system in Maine and benefit from a large primary care network and participate in the rapidly expanding and evolving network to address the community need for Dermatology Services in coastal Maine.
About Damariscotta, Maine Damariscotta is located approximately one hour north of Portland in picturesque Lincoln County.
It is known as the oyster capital of New England, highlighted by the annual Oyster Celebration every June.
Just over 2,200 people live in this quaint coastal town, which offers beautiful homes, great public schools and an independent secondary school that attracts students from around the world.
For outdoor enthusiasts, there are lakes and rivers, along with nearby beaches and mountains.
Position SummaryThe Dermatology Nurse Practitioner will provide health care services to patients under the direction and responsibility of the Supervising Physician.
A Dermatology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will assess, provide consultation, diagnose and treat skin issues as well as perform regular dermatological check-ups.
Some minor procedures, such as shave and punch biopsies, intralesional kenalog injections, cryotherapy, and ED&C will be performed as needed.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) Education:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited four year college or university.
License/Certifications:
Graduate of an accredited certified Family Nurse Practitioner's program or Certified Physician Assistant program.
Current State of Maine FNP License or Physician Assistant License.
Current BLS and ACLS certification.
Experience:
2 years of Previous experience preferred.
